Everyone should watch this, particularly women of color.

This is so much more heartbreaking considering I’d kill to be as gorgeous as any of the girls featured here. They are all so beautiful, and I’m not just saying that in a pat-on-the-back way. The younger women featured in this video are probably all girls I’d envy for having immaculate skin and bone structure. Yet we are still bombarded by the idea that black women are inherently ugly, that light skin should be valued, that women of color should go to the ends of the Earth to become paler.

And this is not something you can blame completely on the white establishment; colorism has existed in people of color societies way before colonialism.

Anyway, please watch.

Didn’t I just mention that I find women of African decent to be more appealing than their Caucasian counter parts? Videos like this frustrate/upset me to no end, but they are important to watch.. I just can’t even imagine the pain these women must go through. Fuck I hate the world sometimes.
